The Centre was established in November 2021, bringing two familiar Welsh education sector brands together.

Peniarth has for many years been one of the main providers of print and digital resources servicing the education sector in Wales as a whole from early years to higher education. Peniarth has created hundreds of resources which include popular reading schemes such as Tric a Chlic, numerous apps and websites. Many of our resources are funded by the Welsh Government and complement the implementation of Cwricwlwm i Gymru.

Rhagoriaith is one of Wales’ leading Welsh language training providers within the education sector and one of the Welsh Government’s providers of the Sabbatical Scheme for Teachers and Classroom Assistants. Rhagoriaith can provide bespoke courses for schools to meet specific requirements, e.g. one-to-one lessons or professional development provision. These courses are aimed specifically to raise the confidence and proficiency of teachers and learners, raise standards across the school and help develop individuals’ ability to teach Welsh across the curriculum at all levels.
